Martin County Fire Rescue Zones: A Community Guide

April 4, 2026 · MCFRLive

Martin County Fire Rescue divides its service area into nine response zones, each anchored by a geographic community. Understanding these zones can help you make sense of the MCFRLive feed — and understand the unique emergency response characteristics of where you live.

The Nine Zones

Stuart

The largest and most active zone by call volume, Stuart covers the county seat and its surrounding neighborhoods from downtown through the SE Federal Highway corridor. Stuart's density, medical call volume, and multi-use development make it the busiest zone in the county. Station 1 (headquarters) and Station 2 serve this area.

Palm City

West of the St. Lucie River and accessible via the high bridges, Palm City is one of Martin County's fastest-growing communities. Its suburban character and I-95 interchange generate consistent MVC and medical call volumes. Stations 3 and 7 serve this zone.

Jensen Beach

Jensen Beach borders St. Lucie County to the north and is home to a dense residential population. The US-1 corridor through Jensen sees high vehicle traffic, and the proximity to Indian Riverside Park and the Jensen Beach Causeway adds marine-adjacent response complexity. Station 4 serves this area.

Hobe Sound

The southernmost zone in the county, Hobe Sound sits at the intersection of US-1 and Cove Road and borders Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Its mix of rural and residential character means Station 5 handles everything from medical calls in subdivisions to wildfire responses in the park's periphery.

Indiantown

The western frontier of Martin County, Indiantown is largely agricultural with a significant rural population. Station 8 is the only station serving this vast area, making response times longer than other zones. Wildland fire risk is elevated here during dry season.

Jupiter Island

A 16-mile barrier island with no bridge to the north, Jupiter Island is one of the wealthiest communities in the United States. Station 10 provides coverage, but the island's isolation means self-sufficiency is essential. Mutual aid from Palm Beach County's Jupiter area is occasionally utilized.

Sewall's Point

A small residential peninsula between the North and South Forks of the St. Lucie River. Sewall's Point is low in call volume but high in community character — its geography creates unique access challenges that require close coordination with Stuart stations.

Port Salerno

A historic fishing community at the southern edge of Stuart, Port Salerno blends waterfront industry with residential neighborhoods. SE Federal Highway generates consistent MVC calls, and the marine environment adds occasional water rescue complexity. Station 6 serves this zone.

Hutchinson Island

The northern half of the barrier island east of Jensen Beach, Hutchinson Island is home to resort communities, condominiums, and St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant. The island is separated from the mainland by the Indian River Lagoon, and Station 11 provides coverage for both the civilian population and coordinates with nuclear facility emergency protocols.

Tracking Your Zone

MCFRLive lets you browse incident history and active calls by zone. Each zone page shows recent incidents, call type breakdowns, and a live feed filtered to that area. Find your zone on the live feed or browse by area in the navigation.
